Nurse Pracitioner Jean Carlos obtained her Bachelors degree in nursing from the University of Southern California in 2000. She then obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2004, specializing as an acute care nurse practitioner in cardiology. She completed several graduate internships at Harbor-UCLA, UCLA, Hoag, and Anaheim Memorial. She is a member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Jean's professional nursing experience began as a critical care nurse in the Coronary Care Unit at West Los Angeles VA for four years and prior to joining Newport Heart in 2009. Her outside interests involve running and travel. Jean resides in Huntington Beach with her husband and daughter.
