Dr. Allen Kuo received his Bachelor’s Degree from Pomona College of the Claremont Colleges in 2003 with a Major in Molecular Biology and Minor in Computer Science.
He graduated from New York Medical College in 2008 with a combined Medical Doctorate degree and a Masters in Public Health specializing in health policy and management. He then completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2011. He was selected and served as an Internal Medicine Chief Resident in 2012. Following this he completed both his General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at LAC+USC medical center. He was also selected to serve as a Chief Fellow during his time there. He completed his training in 2016 and has been in practice in the Los Angeles and Orange County regions since. Dr. Kuo joined Newport Heart in 2022. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. His cardiovascular interests include complex coronary interventions, congestive heart failure and peripheral venous insufficiency/varicose vein therapy. He speaks fluent medical Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. You treat a disease, you win, you lose.
